There is no Add-ins button on the Ribbon

Your Ribbon is probably set to show as a single line. 

Word Online

In Word Online, you can check by clicking on the downwards arrow at the right of it.

If it is, change it to Classic Ribbon.

Word for Windows Desktop

In Word for Windows Desktop, just click on the Home tab menu item.

If this is not the problem, check Show or hide the ribbon in Office at Microsoft.
